Terms of service

HOUSE OF LILAH — TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service set out the terms that apply when you use the House of Lilah website or place an order with us.

Please read these Terms before making a purchase. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by them.

Nothing contained in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law.

About Us

House of Lilah is an online clothing retailer based in the United Kingdom.

References in these Terms to “House of Lilah”, “we”, “our” or “us” mean House of Lilah. References to “you” or “your” mean the customer or person using our website.

Website Use

Our website may be used for lawful personal shopping purposes.

You must not deliberately interfere with the operation or security of our website, introduce malicious software, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use our website or services for unlawful purposes.

Where we reasonably suspect fraudulent, abusive or unlawful activity, we may restrict access to our website.

Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that our product photographs, descriptions, colours and other information are as accurate as possible.

Please be aware that colours can vary slightly depending on lighting, your device and individual screen settings.

Any sizing or measurement information we provide should be treated as a guide. Customers should check the information provided on the relevant product page before ordering.

Products may also have minor variations that do not materially affect the product.

Pricing

Unless otherwise stated, prices on the House of Lilah website are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP/£).

Prices may be changed at any time, although a later price change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that our pricing is accurate. If an obvious pricing or listing mistake occurs, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the affected order.

Any applicable delivery charges will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Placing an Order

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

An automated order confirmation does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

There may be circumstances in which we need to refuse or cancel an order. These may include:

  • A product becoming unavailable or being out of stock.
  • An obvious mistake in the price or product information.
  • Your payment being declined or unable to be processed.
  • Reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent activity or misuse.
  • Being unable to deliver to the address provided.

If we cancel an order after taking payment, the amount paid for the cancelled item or order will be refunded.

Payment

You must pay using one of the payment methods made available during checkout.

When providing payment details, you confirm that you have authority to use that payment method.

Products will not be dispatched until the required payment has been successfully processed.

Promotions & Discount Codes

Individual promotions and discount codes may have their own conditions, which will be stated with the relevant offer.

Unless we specifically state otherwise, promotional codes cannot be used together.

We may change or withdraw an offer before an order using that offer has been placed.

Where we reasonably believe a promotional code has been obtained or used fraudulently, unlawfully or contrary to its stated conditions, we may refuse or cancel its use.

Buying an item in a sale or promotion does not remove your statutory rights, including your rights concerning faulty goods.

Delivery

Available delivery methods, estimated delivery times and applicable charges will be displayed during checkout where available.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, delivery dates and times are estimates.

Customers are responsible for checking that the delivery information supplied when ordering is complete and correct.

We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay occurs, we will provide information about your available options where required by law.

Incorrect Addresses

Please check your delivery address carefully before completing your order.

If you discover that you have entered an incorrect address, contact us as quickly as possible. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to change delivery information once an order has been processed or dispatched.

If a parcel is returned to House of Lilah because the customer supplied an incorrect or incomplete address, additional postage charges may apply.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights to cancel an online purchase and the conditions applicable to eligible returns. That policy forms part of these Terms.

When deciding whether to keep a garment, please handle it carefully and keep the House of Lilah return ribbon attached and intact.

If the return ribbon is removed, cut, broken or tampered with, this may be taken into account when determining whether the garment has been handled beyond what was reasonably necessary and whether its value has been reduced.

The return ribbon does not affect your statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Please read our full Returns & Refunds Policy before returning a purchase.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

Please contact House of Lilah as soon as reasonably possible if an item you receive is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.

Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights available to you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer legislation.

Ownership

Products remain the property of House of Lilah until we have received payment in full.

Responsibility for products will pass in accordance with applicable consumer law.

House of Lilah Content

Unless otherwise stated, House of Lilah owns or has appropriate permission to use the branding, logos, photography, product imagery, graphics, written material and other content appearing on our website.

You may not reproduce, distribute, copy or commercially exploit this material without prior written permission where such permission is legally required.

Our Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where excluding or limiting that liability would be unlawful.

Except where applicable law provides otherwise, House of Lilah is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Your statutory consumer rights are not limited by this section or any other part of these Terms.

Personal Information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Our Privacy Policy provides further information about the personal information we collect, how it is used and how it is protected.

Changes to These Terms

We may occasionally update these Terms to reflect changes to our website, business or applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, the Terms that generally apply to an order will be those in force when that order was placed.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Consumers living elsewhere within the United Kingdom may also have the benefit of mandatory legal protections that apply where they live.
